First Church in 1256 mentioned, in 1356 cultivation.
1638 the 30 Years War site and church heavily damaged.

Today received the neo-Gothic style church in the years 1861-1868 after the village fire in 1859
the four bells from the period 1402-1690 melted.
The difference between the old wall and the fine masonry after the fire is easy to distinguish,
the size of the brick used had changed.
Tower after 1505 built, since 1868 carries a so-called Bischofsmütze.
Tower with slate cover 43 m high.
East side with cross windows behind the altar were bricked.
The church has been built in Jabel as national church.

Painting of the church is heavily washed in large parts. The reason could be the defective roof lying down.

The right window on the south side illuminated the altarpiece.

Bell 1862 Carl Illies goods
This bell was welded in a bell foundry in 2011
and then added the belfry. This hole was caused by a piece of shrapnel in WW2.
The bell has the following text: Jesus Christ yesterday and today and the same forever Heb. 13.8

The bell was repaired at last, after 63 years and heralds today for worship and other events.
St. George is venerated in an equestrian figure of the Middle Ages.
Since these equestrian figure is very valuable, it is rarely shown.



The church wishes to paint the church and restore the many ornaments in the wall and ceiling area. Monolith in churchyard wall to set up a light.
The church received a new roof in the 90s. Electrical work was carried out of 2003.

In front attachment is the winter church. The door to the church was decorated with two four passe.

After the roofing work in the 90s was in 2017
the first section of the internal renovation of the church.

To this end, the company A + G Gerüstbau set up the church for the restorers who make the interior painting.
At the same time restoration works were carried out by window-builder Winkler at damaged windows.

The restorers Brandner and Starke carried out the work on the interior painting.

A total of EUR 31673.76 was needed in the first section.

In the service for the re-consecration of the church Jabel on 15.10.2017, Pastor Schur thanked all donors
