Today's word castle Grubenhagen was first mentioned on 6/21/1243 with a mill.
The place before 1340-1877 / 1945 in the possession of the family of Moltzahn.
The present town Kirch Grubenhagen only received its present name in 1756. Before that there was talk of Hagen or Kirchhagen.

The Church, second half of 13th century. Probably built by the family of the mine in the romanesque to gothic on a mountain.
Many consider this church as a fortified church. However, this is not backed up.
As the first catholic priest a Dietrich called 1288th
The nave consists of fieldstone. The parish church is the root pit Hagener Church family of Maltzahn.
Reformation came from Kirch Grubenhagen as Dietrich von Maltzahn was friend of Luther.
First evangelish pastor before the reformation 1549th.
In the sacristy there are still the remains of the family.
Additional information is found in the cemetery graves.
In 1861, an extensive renovation by Carl von Maltzahn began.
Today's wooden vault, the entrance, the neo-gothic altar,
the gallery, the altarpiece "Crucifixion with the Virgin and Mary Magdalene ', 1861,
by professor  Friedrich Kaselowsky (1810-1891) emerged at this time.



Pulpit 1707 by Vieregge Rostock, the walk for the pulpit was designed as Moses with the 10 commandments.
Transferring this means Moses and his 10 Commandments are the basis of Christianity.
The pulpit body shows the crucifixion and the die ring layer.
Acoustic ceiling inside a flying pigeon with aureole, embodying the spirit.
Vieregge designed a filigree pulpit.

Current organ Lütkemüller, 1860, according to plaque, was restored. The re-consecration of the organ took place on 11/10/2009.
Was donated repairing Dr.Bernd-Albrecht von Maltzan. It is also used for concerts.

The repairs to the tower were completed successfully in the year of 2009.
A small winter church was established 2008 in the tower.
A small kitchen for celebrations is available.
Furthermore, a toilet is available.

Before the bell tower stands on the east side of the grave stone of Caroline Baroness von Maltzahn.
At 21.06. 2016 was this stone the white cross of marble.
The love story of Caroline von Maltzahn inspired Theodor Fontane
for his novel "irretrievably" ( in  german "Unwiederbringlich").
